Most notes do not need to become posts.

There is a version of writing where you catch everything: every half-formed idea, every observation, every reaction to a book. I did that for a while. The notes piled up. Most of them were not useful enough to revisit.

The useful ones tend to come back.

I am getting more comfortable leaving space between posts. It usually just means I am still sorting something out. The weakest writing I have done came from forcing it: sitting down because I thought I should have something to say, then inventing a point.

The better pieces started from a note I actually wanted to use or share.

The check is simple: would I want to read this later?

If the answer is no, I keep it in the notebook.
